§ ¶VirtualDub 1.10.1 released

Version 1.10.1 of VirtualDub is now available. Changes include: improved support for Rec. 709 and full-range color spaces, 3D accelerated filtering now survives display mode switches on Vista and up, all filters have been ported to 64-bit, auto-recover capability, branching video filter graphs, portable (.ini) mode, fixes for Windows Vista/7/8DP specific issues, visual styles are now enabled, and many bug fixes.

I've been using 1.10.1-prerelease for a while now as it fixes some issues with the external encoderes. It's good to finally see a new official version of VirtualDub.

Seems to be something wrong in 1.10.1
- The error message "3D accelerator no longer available" in the middle of a conversion pops up and the conversion is stopped
The next job offers the same message some 5 seconds later, but another 5 seconds after the second job has failed a third job is starting and passing completely w/o complaints

- The option "Preferences" - "Batch" - "Show status window for batch operations" has gone

Going back to 1.10.0

Dreadful sorry. My fault. Downloaded 1.9.1 dated 24.Dec 2010. Only had a look at the "1" rev level and the 24th of December but did not look at the year. After downloading the correct version it's working fine.

Yes, it's unlikely that I'll be revving 1.9.x. In practice, it's turned out to be almost too much work to maintain one branch much less two. If there is a critical hotfix that needs to be backported then I might do so, but otherwise, expect everything to go in 1.10.x and for that branch to go stable once the kinks have been worked out.

You can find the changelog in the program: main menu -> Help -> Change log...

BTW:
The x86 version is missing the manifest resource for styles to show.

Tried to load internal filter "HSV-adjust". Version 1.10.1 won't let it play. Says "Unable to start filter - Cannot start filter 'A logic error was detected'".
As HSV is an internal filter I'd expected that it still works. Alternative external filter "brightness - contrast - gamma" from Alesandro Malanca works but crashes very often after closing the "Add Filter" dialog. Both does not happen with 1.10.0. Any ideas what is going wrong?
